Indian fashion designer Pooja Shroff launched her Spring/Summer collection, Plis Et Dentelle, at Lakme Fashion Week ‘18 during The Showroom Edit held at the Jio Gardens, Mumbai. The collection showcased pastel combinations mixed with vibrant hues for which her label is best known.
Beautiful and varied hand pleated techniques took the center stage at Pooja’s ‘Plis Et Dentelle’ collection, meaning ‘pleats and lace’. Shroff has made use of hand embroidery to embellish laces, adding a vintage touch to suit the Indian sensibilities with a contemporary blend. All this was put together to form the latest spring/summer collection.
One of my favourite pieces was this gorgeous floral dress. Fitted and flare, the dress was cool and comfy, and easy to dress up or down, eastern or western. I loved the detailing on the back as well as the tassels on the bottom hem of the dress. The colours were what caught my eye, and the newest collection displays her best contemporary designs interspersed with a diverse pastel palette which sets new trends this season.
