I’m super excited to share my recent collaboration with a local shoe brand and photographer. Our theme was Spring/Summer 2017. The shoes are by Bela & Co who specialize in curating hand crafted juttis – so naturally, all the looks had some Indian elements. We shot at Antique Cafe which always inspires me with its rich texture, timeless antiques and eastern touches – not forgetting the gorgeous backdrops for pictures! I’m a sucker for a good interior, and my favourite space within the cafe has to be the sari room where innovative interior designers have found yet another use for the sari – as a wallpaper!
I styled these looks with the juttis in mind – staying true to the beautiful yet delicate work on each one. I loved how every pair was so unique, accommodating the girl who prefers classic intricate beadwork as well as the girl who loves embroidery – the Eiffel tower embroidered juttis have to be my favourite! All the looks were created with common pieces from my closet – so I hope that if you own something similar, these looks inspire you to pair your garments in a way which is a little bold and different, like I’ve tried here.
Enjoy the pictures! Elana made use of the space and lighting with such creativity and they turned out amazing. We used the flatlay concept so you guys could see each look in a bit more detail as close ups. Let me know your thoughts and if you guys like these layouts!
