Hey there youthfuls!
I recently discovered a new local clothing brand and was so excited when we decided to collaborate. Pop Vintage has garments which speak to the classic woman who loves adding an array of embroidery, class and femininity to her looks. Their new spring range beams with cool vintage inspired floral blouses, cropped pants, sleeve drama and trendy prints.
I was honoured to style some looks using pieces from the new range. I played around with gingham and denim which is a huge trend at the moment. The gingham print has made a comeback in all colours and garments ranging from dresses to shoes. There’s something about this checkered pattern which creates a timeless look.
One may think denim should only be worn in winter because it is more of a warmer fabric, however the reworked, distressed, mesh and cut out denim we see today speaks otherwise. I personally love the embroidery motifs on this pair of jeans – floral embroidery is fun & flirty, and it adds an airy, springy and organic element to the look – moving towards replacing the patchwork trend we saw during autumn and winter.
Pretty sleeves are here to stay, and culottes are also a great, versatile addition to the wardrobe. Here I paired them together and accessorized with a corset belt, adding structure too a flowy, laid-back look.
I love this cool, vintage floral shirt. The button detailing adds a classic element and ties in perfectly with these cropped striped pants which are right on the current stripe trend.
I played around with my headwear and loved finishing off these looks with what has to be one of my absolute favourite accessories – H A T S! The thing I loved most was the comfort which accompanied the style, and being able to look chic without having to be excessive.
