Shades of Blue

A winter in Durban mostly means lots of sunshine with a slightly chilled breeze now and then. This gives us the perfect opportunity to combine summer and winter elements to our looks and not have to say goodbye to cute summery pieces altogether.

For this look I wanted to create something that embodied similar colour tones – and so I settled for blue. Wearing blue surely doesn’t make you feel blue! This outfit is perfect for a pizza date out and can even pass for a casual office look. Baby blue reminds me of a formal vibe – and I love this trendy top in that colour! Balloon sleeves, embroidered detail, wrapped over with a huge bow at the back – what more could we ask for? I styled this wrap-over top a little off the shoulder which gave me a canvas to accessorize with a silver plated choker – adding that Indian element which I love!

I paired it with a fringed mini which gave the look an extra movement – something I look for in my daily outfit as I always fit in a twirl at some point in the day. 😉 For footwear I decided on Converse – casual & classic.
