I recently collaborated with an awesome team consisting of an indian fashion house, a versatile photographer and a very talented make up artist to put together six looks that spoke to an indowestern and multicultural vibe.
As you guys know by now, I grab any chance to add an element of indian ethnicity or bohemian touches to my looks, so being a part of this project was right up my alley and such a fulfilling creative experience. When we all first met we felt like we knew each other for years, and this made the process even more fun and natural (as you will see from the pictures).
Meetva, who is the force behind her brand – Mode Designer Boutique, conceptualised the looks with the beautiful garments from her range in mind.
The inspiration for these looks was drawn from the ideology of a ‘Girl Boss’ – someone who isn’t afraid to be creative, authentic and unapologetic about who she is. A woman who believes in trusting her instinct, and being brave, unique and unconventional in her ways. Be it the way in which she dresses or how she chooses to fulfil her dreams – being a boss in her own right takes her forward towards living her best life.
Jay Pillay (Jay Pillay Photography) managed to effortlessly turn our ideas into a reality by being a visionary behind the lens. Farzana Ally (Artistic Faces Umhlanga) was a whiz with her make up brushes and completely transformed my face incorporating her international training (and her incredible highlight!).
I really hope you guys enjoy the pictures, and that you are inspired by these looks to create your own. Chat soon loves xx
