Hi fashionable friends!
After feasting on what this years fashion weeks had to offer, I spent some time drawing inspiration from my favourite looks to compile a list of trends going forward to the next season. Personally, I love the transition of style between seasons – change is always refreshing. From burgundy hues of autumn to emerald greens of winter – think refined colours, layered textures and experimental dressing this coming season.
I incorporated the following list of trends for Autumn/Winter 2017 to create this look.
Mesh tops, mesh dresses, mesh socks – all mesh everything. Its the perfect way to layer almost anything, as well as to keep warm yet cool (look & feel it) this season. For this look I paired a long sleeved mesh top under a sleeveless tulle dress.
You can’t go wrong with detailed embroidery. A classic trend that will never lose its charm. Embroidered appliqué makes any piece of clothing or footwear, timeless.
The Tulle Dress
Ballet dreams come true in the form of this dress, allowing you to feel like you can pirouette at any time when styling this trend. Being an incredibly versatile layering garment, pair your tulle dress with anything from denim skirts to statement t-shirts.
Going forward towards the colder months, we no longer have to shy away from these bold fabrics because layering them becomes so much easier – as seen here wearing my mesh tulle dress over a pair of leather pants. Try this with sequinned jeans or metallic camis – an undertone of shimmer/glam will never again be ‘too much’. 😉
As long as its faux fur, it’s here to stay. Add instant texture, warmth and depth to your looks with a faux fur gillet, jacket or coat. I like to think of these options as the ‘cherry on top’ – definitely adding a statement and completing any look.
