Every so often we come across a look that’s got the perfect balance – a neutral canvas with a statement piece.
My inspiration for this lookbook came from exactly that. I wanted the clothing to fit together like a puzzle-a puzzle revolving around my new favourite boots that is! These 90’s inspired patent faux leather boots by Cape Robbin in the style “Fay” were the ultimate mid-calf booties for me. We’ve seen the mid-calf boot trend being rocked by A-list celebs, and there’s no denying its perfect fit somewhere in between an ankle and knee-length boot.
The glass pink heel was what drew me to this boot (you guys know I love anything unique) and the neutral colour sealed the deal for me (I’m all about the nude shades). Pairing these boots with full length or sock fishnets will make you the ultimate trend setter. Fishnet stockings have become a street style staple at this years New York Fashion Week, and I find the redefinition of these stockings being edgy and chic really refreshing!
With the boots and stockings being my statement pieces, wearing them against a simple, off the shoulder bodycon dress allowed them to stand out more. Not forgetting embroidered bomber jackets and tassel earrings to finish it off, because let’s be honest, we’ve never met either of those that we didn’t love.
Have a wonderful week guys, I hope this look inspires you to add elements of it to your outfits!
